Cherry blossoms in some of the cities in Japan are open early in the winter time, in January. Meanwhile, on the northern island of Hokkaido, the situation is different and the flowering can be as late as May. In major cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, the cherry blossom season starts even in springtime in April. For Japanese, cherry trees are symbolizing the clouds, renewal, vitality and also beauty. This tells us that these people adore these trees.
Independently, in which period of the year grows, cherry blossoms are a treasure of nature and we should all appreciate it and take care of it.
